High-quality analysis of target audience reactions without any additional equipment

Wantent

Wantent’s SaaS platform enables testing the content and marketing assets anytime, anywhere by digitally connecting your target audience to the test content online. Through their AI and content testing methodology, that analyses emotional states and attention types against several attributes, they can help you understand viewers’ engagement and empathy at any point in time to generate insights and call-to-action recommendations. 

In the creation of new long-form tv shows, the tool of Wantent can be a great benefit to VRT. The collaboration with VRT and the co-creation of a tool to validate and measure user behavior success, before the show is aired, will help reduce this risk.

Optimizing the Natural Language Processing to create perfectly segmented and timed subtitles

By offering online collaborative workspaces for the creative industry, Limecraft can easily respond to the growing demand for subtitles in Dutch and other languages. Limecraft optimizes the Natural Language Processing (NLP), to automatically cut the transcript into perfectly segmented and timed subtitles in the VRT style guide. Additionally, they also integrate the transcription and subtitling tools into the pre-excisting editing environment. By doing so, they can avoid switching between different apps.

White-label educational content e-commerce platform designed with 'inclusiveness' in mind

Because of an increase in demand for digital educational material, publishers have had to produce larger quantities of digital content. From their experience they discovered that these educational publishers have been slow to embrace digital distribution, mainly because they lack the IT capabilities to build multimedia platforms themselves. It also doesn’t allow them to build a centralized system, that allows them to organize, manage and monetize their digital assets.

Druid Learning provides these publishers with a platform that simplifies the automatic micro-categorization of all kinds of digital content.

Their technology automates the indexing of digital content files into component digital assets, boosting content discoverability and minimizing the need for manual or costly processes. In this way Druid Learning makes their content production process more efficient to increase the content output. Using any file type publishers can create video content libraries, digital content repositories and multimedia e-books.

Developing a one man band show

Tinkerlist

Seeing issues in efficiency first-hand when working in media production, the founders of TinkerList searched for a solution that allowed media creatives to collaborate and edit media production tools in real time. They found that there was a profound lack of innovative and fully integrated tools to support media production teams in creating content and managing workflows. On top of that, it became clear that the Corona pandemic brought the world’s online video-based communication to extreme exponential proportions and that classic broadcasters are moving more and more to 24/7 online (first) channels.

To solve this, they developed a solution that essentially bridges the gap between the writers’ room and the recording studio. It streamlines the entire process from early ideation to scripting, from recording to archiving.

Music Fingerprinting and more. If you wonder how you can automate your music library workflow, well our VRT Sandbox collaboration showed our Radio and Archiving team how this could work.

Imagine that you’re music catalog gets tagged automatically. What might not seem groundbreaking but that you, on top, could ask the tool to listen and find ‘soundalike’ assets. This not only helps you to discover more music but can help radio makers to be even more creative when it comes to playlists and serving the listener in a better way. Bit-rate detection, mood indication, … Ok, this brain still needs to learn our ‘local flavor of music’ but it is clear it opens up a lot of possibilities.

VRT NWS & Bothrs join forces when it comes to fact checking and news. Imagine, the pandemic has just started. Fake news was everywhere. The amount of disinformation piles up. How can VRT NWS serve the audience in a better way.
Bothrs spotted the problem and reached out to us. The rest is history. Via a facebook bot VRT NWS succeed in reaching out to a different audience.

Via Face Messengers the VRT audience got a change of interacting with the VRT NWS team and by doing so it has given that team valuable ‘real time’ insights. Contributing to thinking even more than ever ‘customer centric’

Attention Insight

Do you want to A/B test your website, but are you short in time and money? Attention Insight is an Artificial Intelligence platform, which instantly predicts where users will look when engaging with content. No eyetracking studies are needed anymore, the attention prediction model provides you with a heatmap right away.

Together with Attention Insight, the websites of VRT Radio 1 and Radio 2 were tested based on user experience and functionality. Both websites were A/B tested with different goals in mind, and provided VRT with valuable insights.

Making education a fun digital experience

That’s why together with Bookwidgets, VRT turned education into a fun and digital experience for both students and teachers. Combining VRT content with Bookwidgets’ technology works magic. We were able to link interactive questions to VRT content and increase relevance in the classroom, higher teacher satisfaction and higher consumption of VRT videos

For our 5 year celebration online event (thanks Corona), we chose to use a virtual studio set up, this way we could make an beautiful television studio branded with our VRT Sandbox designs. Using a virtual studio is expensive, you need big bulky broadcast hardware with in most cases a yearly subscription fee. So how did we manage our beautiful virtual production using only one computer, a game engine and a tracked camera?

Playar.studio

Do you want to lift your brand experience to a higher level? Create your own company Snapchat filter to advertise? Player.studio is what you are looking for!  Playar is a studio to collaborating with artists, animators & engineers to craft unique AR experiences for brands, agencies & the entertainment industry.

Together with VRT, Playar.studio developed various interactive plays for the Tik Tak Expo. This allowed kids to play with their favorite Tik Tak characters, and turn this exhibition into a magical experience.

Do you want to tell a strong story with powerful interactive elements? We know we did! For our first VRT Sandbox Learntech Videocast we wanted to show what we’ve achieved with technology, storytelling and education. A simple video would tell the story but we wanted to make sure the viewers really got the message! By using Showtag we were able to create a powerful interactive story, giving our viewers the freedom to learn and discover on their own terms.

VRT Sandbox’ interactive live event was powered by Sceenic. Sceenic is a company, with offices in the UK and in Israel, who just launched their Interactive Online Event Solution. A service that lets us experience a new and more interactive way to do online events whilst building communities. The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 and LaLiga are amongst their clients.
